| LLR.13 "St Georges Pier, Liverpool, in 1844". The site of the world famous pierhead on the Liverpool waterfront. This early view is looking along the pier from the steps which led down to the Seacombe Ferry, across the Basin leading to Georges and Prince's Docks, and on to the (then) New Baths. As today, this is where most of the ferries departed for the Wirral shore across the bustling Mersey. The two round buildings were shelters. Image size : 4" x 6¾" (100mm x 170mm) - £5 each. |
