"Castle Street, Liverpool in 1844".
The heart of Liverpool's business centre, Castle Street is lined with magnificent 19th century buildings, and at its head is the slendid Town Hall. This is the fourth Town hall completed in 1802 by the London architect, James Wyatt. The projecting portico was added in 1811. Our old gallery was on the right, just beyond the lady in the red dress. This view is taken from a spot in front of the Bank of England building.
Image size : 4¾" x 5" (120mm x 125mm) - £5 each.
