Looking Back !

Here I show a few of the Exhibitions at which the gallery took a stand. They were great fun, I met so many interesting people - collectors & dealers, and would not have missed the experiences for all the Monets in the world (well, perhaps not....). So, please look back at with me & enjoy.

And while you are here - have a look at this "fabulous find" that I made which turns out to be the second oldest painting of Liverpool.
It is now on display at the Liverpool Maritime Museum as part of the permanent collection.

Boydell Galleries Annual Exhibition

Crowne Plaza Hotel. Pier Head, Liverpool.
December 2001

Photo Library of the 2000 Exhibition.
Special Exhibit Liverpool in 1725

This is our exclusive annual show, where we bring all our best goodies to show our local collectors who have been coming to our gallery over the years, and to the many new customers. We always try to have something special, although it will be difficult to beat our star exhibit in 2000, a large panoramic oil painting of Liverpool in 1725. This turned out to be only the second earliest view of Liverpool, and has been acquired by the Liverpool Maritime Museum. For details of this, see our special web page....Liverpool in 1725.
The following events are now a distant memory, but you might like to see both the details and photo Library.

THE ASSOCIATION OF ART AND ANTIQUE DEALERS

The LAPADA FAIR at the NEC, Birmingham

Always a very successful Fair in a new Hall of the NEC. Attendance is always excellent, and the whole Event looked marvellous.

Photo Library of the 2001 Fair

Photo Library of the 2000 Fair

One of the top Provincial Antiques Fairs of the year. Over 110 dealers offer their choicest items for sale in a specially designed Pavilion display Hall. The setting is unhurried and welcoming. All Exhibitors have to be members of LAPADA, an Association which operates a strict code of practice.

We exhibited a fine selection of early British Watercolours and Antique Maps.

The Watercolour and Drawings Fair - London

Photo Library of the 2001 Fair

Photo Library of the 2000 Fair

The Fair for watercolours and drawings. If you want to see the choicest selection of art on paper in the UK, then this is where you should go. The Fair is held only once a year, and is a major event in the Collectors' Calendar

We exhibited a fine selection of early British Watercolours.

THE BRITISH ANTIQUE DEALERS ASSOCIATION

The BADA Antiques & Fine Art Fair - London

Photo Library of the 2001 Fair

Photo Library of the 2000 Fair

One of the Premier Antiques Fairs held in the Capital each year. All exhibitors have to be members of The British Antique Dealers' Association. The Fair is strictly vetted to ensure that all exhibits are of the highest quality.

An event that should not be missed if you can get to London that week.

We exhibit a fine selection of early British Watercolours and Antique Maps.

The 37th Buxton Antiques Fair

Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, Derbyshire.

Photo Library of the 2000 Fair

This is one of the better, and certainly the nicest Antiques Fair outside London. The Peak District is beautiful in early May, and well worth a visit. Most of the dealers are either BADA or LAPADA, so the quality is high.
